With Blockiverse I want to give you a vast and open universe, in which you can get creative, explore new things and have a good time, either alone or with friends.

In the past I watched a lot of "let's plays" of Gronkh, who is a famous content creator in Germany. He played Minecraft, Starbound and other games. In one Minecraft episode he said, that a combination of Minecraft and Starbound would be cool and so I started this project. The first try of this project looked like the original idea and I called it Blockiverse. One day I decided that the Block system is not innovative enough, replaced it, but kept the name.

Crafting system: There are different mini games to craft something.

Building system: You can build like you want with nearly no limitations. If you need a wooden plank with a size of 10, 0.1, 2 meter and a rotation of 10, 24, 12 degrees, go ahead. But do not worry, even with all the options, it is easy to build something, because there are supporting functions, like "move the object to an edge" or "fill on axis".

Physic: Vehicles like cars, airplanes, rockets and other things like marble races are possible.

Universe: If one planet is not enough, you can explore the universe.

Right now I only plan to release the game for Windows PC. However, if there is interest, I will certainly think about other platforms. But I do not want to over promise.

To define the current state I refer to the Pareto principle (with 20% of input, you reach 80% of the goal).

For the game it means, that 80% is done and everything is at least implemented in a basic version, besides the story.

For each goal I planned to spend one year.

* capped at 4 years, because I do not want to plan for more than 10 years.

More information about each goal are in the following list:

I'm stuck on finalizing!

Which button did you press in the start menu?
In case of an error, the game creates an error log in the folder "generated/errorLog" in this folder is a file "log.txt". Do you see this file and if yes, what is the content of this file.

Error

Must set the Network Address field in the manager

I got it to work!

ok, I guess you pressed the button "join game" without setting an ip in the input field next to it. So if you want to play alone, you should press the "start host and client button", else you should input the ip-adress of the server, where you want to play. I think I'll have to fix, that the loading starts, without a valid input.

I get spawned off the map and have this error message:

The error log tells, that the error occurred directly after loading and there is an error with plants. Did you created a new world or load an existing one?
In the first case: could you please send me the seed of the world (options menu -> world options -> world seed),
else could you please send me additional to the seed, the player file, which you'll find in "generated/worlds/<world name, which failed>/player/<player name>.xml" (the content from "<InCave>" until "</LeftHandItem>" would be enough, if you don't want to send the complete file.

Had fun playing your game. :)
